Each morning, he travels from Chertsey to the Warriors Weightlifting Club in Montreal to train six hours a day, three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon. He is accompanied by his training partners at each session.
His trainer, Abigail Guerrero, also hopes to be able to one day open a Club in Chertsey in order to train all the future champions of Lanaudière.

In December, he captured a bronze medal at the Pan Am Championships with a snatch of 90 kg, just over 30 kg than his bodyweight, and a clean and jerk of 108 kg.
Then, at the National Garage Championships, he managed to take first place with three gold medals in the 67kg category. He achieved three personal bests: 105kg in the snatch, 122kg in the clean and jerk and 227kg in total.
