Brawls and riots: police budget for Halloween

Carved and illuminated pumpkins stand in front of doors, children go from house to house, you see people dressed up as skeletons or bats at Halloween parties. Most people in Lower Franconia celebrated Halloween peacefully. The police balance is mostly positive.

But about 60 riots were reported to the police in the entire administrative district, for example because the parties were too noisy. For comparison: last year there were 77 cases. In individual cases, officials are now investigating after Halloween due to property damage, quarrels or drunken quarrels, with some minor injuries.
