The brawl took place in the Jalan Taman Siswa area, Jogja City tonight. The two groups threw stones at each other.
Monitoring at the location, Sunday (4/6/2023) at around 19.00 WIB, the brawl occurred in the area near the Wirogunan Lapas. From the information gathered, the brawl took place after sunset.
“Earlier (the crowd) all ran to the north,” said a parking attendant at the scene.
The police are currently at the location. The mass was successfully pushed back to the north.
The Taman Siswa street near the Wirogunan Lapas was filled with scattered stones. Police officers are also still on guard and closed the Wirogunan road using barracuda vehicles.
Road closures were also carried out on Jalan Sultan Agung. Several alleys were also closed portals by local residents.
Shops around the T-junction of Jalan Sultan Agung and Jalan Taman Siswa or around the Wirogunan Lapas. Even the Taman Siswa gas station was also closed.
Crowds are still thronging around the road. Residents and motorcyclists also packed the streets to watch this incident.
