Excellent result! The collection of precious metals of Czech esport has grown by another medal. Competitor Lukáš Matěja did not find a winner in his great discipline at the DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series. The 23-year-old Czech national team winner won in the rally category, and can thus be proud of the title of world champion.

Fans of virtual racing know Matěj from his regular participation in the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP series. However, the specialty of the Czech talented driver is off-road, which he confirmed at the championship in the popular game DiRT Rally 2.0.

The championship was held in two disciplines. Matěja made it to the finals in both rally and rallycross categories. No one was faster in the rally discipline in the starting field and Matěja became the world champion in it. Fin Pankonen and Japanese Iwata took second and third place.

Matěja also reached for the title in the rallycross category, when he even led in the final race, but in the end he had to settle for fourth place. In rallyecross, the Frenchman Dall’olmo won a gold medal.
