Even though they are invisible, mental disorders are nonetheless painful and real for millions of people. They would affect 1 in 5 people in the world. TheMaybelline New York company decided to get involved in the fight against depression and anxiety.
Maybelline New York works against depression and anxiety
The make up brand has always been very committed to well-being and self-confidence. She realized that in recent years, and even more with the health crisis that has paralyzed the world since the winter of 2020, things have worsened.
According to a IPSOS survey As of December 2020, 32% of 18-24 year olds have a mental health disorder, and 21% of those under 25 report symptoms of depression. 2/3 of young people think that the pandemic will have a net impact on their mental health.

Maybelline New York has therefore decided to join Unfam (National union of families and friends of sick and / or mentally handicapped people) in order to establish a battle plan. The result is the Brave Together program which will be deployed in France for 5 years.
Brave Together: a campaign to fight mental disorders
The goal of Brave Together is both to raise public awareness of the reality of mental disorders, and to offer those who suffer from them adapted solutions. It comes in several parts.
First of all, a program deployed around a digital training tool developed with Unafam and a psychologist, to offer concrete solutions to patients and in particular 3 mini games entitled: spot the signs – choose the words – find some ‘help. This digital tool will be found on www.maybelline.fr/bravetogether. Unafam will also propose real solutions and in particular a listening line for people with mental health problems and their entourage (01 42 63 03 03) as well as “awareness” sessions.
At the same time, the campaign will widely broadcast an awareness film on common mental disorders such as depression and anxiety. The film will be shown on dynamic screens (metro or train stations, shopping centers) in many cities in France, but also on social networks widely used by young Snapchat and TikTok.
To embody the Brave Together campaign, Maybelline New York has chosen iconic figures such as Amel Bent and Bilal Hassani. A great initiative to support the new generation.
