Brass ensemble Classic Brass makes a guest appearance with magical music

On Friday, January 14th, at 7.30 p.m., Classic Brass will perform for the third time in the St. Johannis Church in Forchheim, Zweibrckenstrasse 40. When the well-traveled ensemble welcomes the audience traditionally and befittingly with the fanfare rondeau from the first Suite de Symphonies by the Versailles court composer Jean-Joseph Mouret, the audience can look forward to a particularly glamorous and heartfelt evening.

Founded by Dresden trumpeter Jrgen Grblehner in autumn 2009, the brass quintet has since made over 900 guest appearances and has recorded nine CD productions. In what is now their 13th concert season, the five professional musicians from Germany and Hungary are presenting the program Magical Music, an exclusive selection of famous compositions by well-known masters with which they want to enchant the audience. According to the press release, the musicians have a very broad repertoire, starting with works from the Renaissance to the modern. In doing so, they easily cross national as well as stylistic musical borders.

Particularly noteworthy are the many arrangements made by ensemble member Christian Fath. In his arrangements he adapts the repertoire to the tonal qualities and talents of his colleagues. The group owes its success at home and abroad to this recipe. The evening is framed by a humorous presentation. CDs and DVDs are offered during the concert break.
