– Right now there is a full fire in the house, says operations manager Tor Andre Gram Franck in Møre og Romsdal police district.

Just after 13.30, the emergency services were notified of a fire in a farmhouse on Årsundøya in Tingvoll.

– It should be empty, there are no people inside the house, says Gram Franck.

Crew from several stations

The fire service has moved out with crews from the stations in Tingvoll, Straumsnes and Angvik. In addition, officers from Molde fire station have gone to the scene.

At 14.40, the 110 exchange in Møre og Romsdal reports that the fire brigade is working on the island.

– The house is overheated and the fire brigade has arrived at the scene. There are no people in the house, and we secure neighboring buildings and against any spread, the fire service writes on Twitter.

The house is going to burn down completely.

Investigation

Årsundøya has no mainland connection and is located northwest of Årsund and just west of Langøya.

The police will also go to the scene in connection with the investigation of the fire, says operations manager Gram Franck.
