On Monday afternoon, the emergency services responded to a meeting accident on Flakstadvegen in Nes municipality.
– It has been a meeting accident with two cars. We received the first message via AMK at 14.15. The three involved are all transported to Ahus, says operations manager Terje Skaftnes to Romerikes Blad on Monday afternoon.
The operations manager says on Monday night that a man in his 70s is now charged with driving under the influence of drugs, after he allegedly crossed into the opposite lane.
– We believe that one party can be blamed, and we have seized a driver’s license. We have charged him with driving under the influence, says Skaftnes.
The man was alone in the car before the accident.
A man and a woman in their 20s were in the other car.
Transported by air ambulance
The police task leader on the spot, Ketil Lund, informs Romerikes Blad that two of those involved are slightly injured, and one has an unexplained injury. The latter was transported to Ahus by air ambulance, but there should be no life-threatening injuries.
– It is a road where it is not normal to crash, so we are now working to interrogate witnesses and those involved. It is a head-on accident on a low-traffic road, says Lund.
