“Brainstorm” releases the second single from the upcoming album in the autumn – Music

The group “Brainstorm” has released its offer for this summer’s dance floor – the song “Carousels”. This is the second single from the autumn album “Year without Calendar”.

The song “Carousels” is the result of experiments by the band’s drummer Kaspars Roga in the “Apple Loops” program in combination with the text created by “Brainstorm” and Jānis Šipkēvics. The producer of the song is the Swedish Povels Olsson, with whom “Brainstorm” also collaborated on the album “About the boy who beats tin drums”, and who also helped to make the first single “Feels”. “When, if not now, should such songs be on the air and sound from open car windows on warm evenings ?!” optimism vibrates in what Renārs Kaupers said. “Summer, backpacks, tents. A romantic story about the fact that the love of a lifetime can also be met by stopping an accidental passer-by. ”

If “Feels” was a little worried about the soundtrack of the already completed “Brainstorming” new album, then “Carousels” makes alarm bells in all the towers – it seems to be a sworn “Brainstorm” fan to say that the song is a success. Two of them forget the mood of “Disconakts”, which is also strengthened by the video version, and the song is saved only by a more or less sticky song. Although the single “Chocolate Ice Cream” included in the previous album “Brainstorm” fell on the viewer’s equally incorrigibly and angrily, the listeners perceived it very well – this could be a similar case.

It should be reminded that the new album of “Brainstorm” is expected on October 21, 2021. On the same day, the concert film “Year without a Calendar” will be released – an hour-long audiovisual adventure with all ten songs from the new album, documentaries from the album and the concert film, dances, spectacular decorations, costumes and brilliant guest artists. This “Brainstorm” will be a double premiere, because in the video of the song we all dance. It was a real challenge for the guys – it took a long time to persuade! In turn, my task was to convey this special amount of live music, dance and Renārs’ voice to the viewer with the help of video. It worked great! ” says concert film director and set designer Kaspars Roga.
