For the final day of the championship, Al Rayyan won 2-0 against Al Wakrah but missed the league title as leader Al Duhail won 1-0 against Al Ahli.
Al Rayyan opened the scoring thanks to his playmaker Yacine Brahimi.
The Algerian international scored a magnificent goal after dribbling 4 players and ended the action with a shot on target which was deflected by a defender and ended up in the net.
This goal gave more freedom to his team who scored another a few moments later.

Despite the loss of the championship, Yacine Brahimi finished the season with 15 goals and thus became the top scorer in the championship, ahead of Akram Afif who scored the same number of goals but with more penalties taken compared to Brahimi (4 for Brahimi and 5 for Afif).
Brahimi, who finished the season top scorer, was still disappointed at the end of the match after missing the championship title.
