Brad Pitt praised the sport of “Formula 1” and expressed his respect for the drivers yesterday, after he spent the weekend with them to film a new action in the British Grand Prix.
The Hollywood star told Sky Sports F1 that the circuit and the sport as a whole welcomed and embraced the film project about “Formula 1”, which has not been named yet and which is supported by “Apple” and stars it.
“I am living the best days of my life,” he added, after participating in a race around the track.
“I’m a little tired now!” he continued. It’s great to be here. We laugh. Brad Pitt said, “To be a part of it in this way? To tell our story? Everyone was so nice to us, the teams, the FIA and F1 President Stefano Domenicali were very helpful. They were all great.”
Pitt was greeted warmly by the drivers when he and director Joseph Kosinski joined the drivers’ pre-race briefing.
“It was probably the best driver briefing we’ve ever had,” said Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, who is an executive producer of the film.
In the film, Pitt plays the role of a veteran driver who joins the “Formula 1” team in Silverstone with a fictional team in the championship. Mercedes driver George Russell said it was a surreal experience sharing the space with Pete. He added, “He was joking and having a good time. I’m very excited to see what the movie will be like.”
