Brabus Adventure XLP Superblack: a pickup of 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque

Two years after the presentation of the 800 Adventure XLP, the German tuning company Brabus now comes up with a new proposal. It’s also a G-Klasse turned into a pick-up, but this time it was painted black and mounted under the hood a twin-turbo V8 engine with 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. The name of the beast is one to match: Adventure XLP Superblack.

The truck benefits from many improvements compared to the model presented in 2020 at Geneva Motor Show. Beyond the body color, the new Adventure XLP Superblack received a Widestar tuning kit. It includes carbon fiber inserts, both on the outside and inside.

They are found on the front grille, bumpers, hood and flare wings. We also find carbon finishes at the level of the sills and terminations for the side-mounted exhaust system. At the rear, the exhaust pipes are illuminated in red.

The outer package is complemented by 22-inch Brabus Monoblock HD wheels. These are “wrapped” with special off-road tires. Moreover, the new Adventure XLP Superblack received a winch at the front and a full-size spare wheel mounted in the dump truck. The latter is equipped with additional LED lights.

The cabin has also been completely overhauled. Now almost every detail is covered in black leather. Also here we find chrome accents with black finish and plenty of carbon fiber.

Brabus Adventure XLP Superblack reaches “one hundred” in 4.8 seconds!

The new Brabus Adventure XLP Superblack is longer compared to the 2020 model. Thus, the car measures 5.31 m in length and has an increased ground clearance, which is almost half a meter (48.8 cm). The suspension was also rethought.

A revised version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. In the new configuration, it now develops 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Under these conditions, the almost three-ton mastodon can sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.8 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 210 km / h. Even so, Brabus claims that Adventure XLP Superblack is one of the fastest trucks in the world.

The Brabus 800 Adventure XLP Superblack in these pictures has a mileage of 1,000 km and has been put up for sale. The price, however, is prohibitive: about 727,000 euros. If you are interested, Brabus will deliver it between six and 12 months.
