KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded inflation in June 2020 of 0.18% mom. Inflation in the month was higher than inflation in May 2020 which was 0.07% mom.
“The pattern is somewhat different, Eid becomes the peak of inflation, but this did not happen this year because of the unusual situation due to the pandemic that in Ramadan and Eid which fell in April and May, inflation this year was flat then in June 1 month experienced a slight increase of 0 , 18 percent, “said BPS head Suhariyanto, Wednesday (1/7).

Thus, calendar year inflation was recorded at 1.09% while annual inflation was recorded at 1.96% yoy.
“The increase in purebred chicken meat and purebred eggs is the main cause of inflation in June 2020,” said Suhariyanto.
