The colorful monsters – “flower giveers”, “window knockers” & Co. warn against pickpockets today and tomorrow at the main station in Freiburg im Breisgau. At regional and long-distance train stations, the six “Bumos” (“traffic jam generator”, “flower giver”, “window knocker”, “dirty”, “bumping” and “false tourist”) go together with the prevention officers of the federal police and the prevention teams of the Germans Bahn on the offensive and clarify about pickpocketing in travel. Train passengers have the opportunity to find out more about the Europe-wide campaign stop-pickpockets.eu and the strategies of the perpetrators and to receive important tips for prevention. When and where do the actions take place? On July 28th and 29th, prevention officers from the Federal Police and DB-AG will explain and sensitize travelers to the procedures of pickpockets at the main station in Freiburg im Breisgau. The campaign is supported by Deutsche Bahn and the state and federal police crime prevention program (ProPK).
