As part of the border police exit control on a flight to Hurghada/Egypt, the Federal Police at Dusseldorf Airport yesterday Monday morning (November 21, 2022) identified a German who they had been instructed to search. The 37-year-old was wanted by the public prosecutor’s office in Limburg an der Lahn. In November last year, they issued an arrest warrant for a drug law violation against the person convicted in January 2020. The man, who lives in Eschenburg (Hesse), however managed to avoid the 80-year alternative prison sentence days by paying the fine of 2,400 euros to the federal police on the spot. He then boarded the flight to Egypt.

On Monday evening, federal police officers arrested a man who was also wanted. The public prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt am Main has issued an arrest warrant against the 44-year-old Serb, who was found during the exit check on a flight to Belgrade/Serbia. In October this year, they issued an arrest warrant for driving without a license in connection with drunk driving against the person convicted in November 2019. However, the man was unable to pay the 4,000 euro fine. After the arrest warrant was issued, he was then handed over to the competent judicial authorities.
