BPK Auditor Denies Bribery, Ade Yasin: I was forced to take responsibility

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.comCorruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appoints Bogor Regent Ade Yasin | as a suspect in the bribery of the management of the Bogor Regency Government’s financial statements for the 2021 Fiscal Year.

Ade is suspected of bribing the ranks of examiners from the West Java Representative Audit Board (BPK) to conduct an interim audit (preliminary) on the Regional Government Financial Statements (LKPD) for the 2021 Regency Government of Bogor Regency.

This is done with the aim that the financial statements of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) can achieve the Unqualified Predicate (WTP).

The bribe was given by Ade through his subordinates as the Head of the Bogor BPKAD Regional Treasury Ihsan Ayatullah and the Secretary for the Bogor PUPR Service, Maulana Adam.

After being named a suspect, Ade admitted that he was forced to take responsibility for the initiative of his subordinates who bribed the BPK auditors to obtain WTP.

He admitted that he had never ordered his subordinates to give bribes to the financial inspectors of the BPK.

“I was forced to take responsibility for the actions of my subordinates. As a leader, I must be ready to take responsibility,” said Ade when met at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday (28/4/2022).

“There was an initiative from them, so this is called an IMB, yes, an initiative to bring disaster,” he continued.

Ade is a suspect with the Bogor Regency PUPR Secretary, Maulana Adam; Head of Sub-District Cash for BPKAD Bogor Regency, Ihsan Ayatullah; and PPK at the Bogor Regency PUPR Service, Rizki Taufik.

Then, four BPK auditors representing West Java, namely Anthon Merdiansyah, Arko Mulawan, Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Karwita, and Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah.
