BPCE Reports 39% Increase in Insurance Premiums to 5.5 Billion Euros in Q1 2024

(AOF) – For its insurance activity, BPCE indicates that premiums in the first quarter of 2024 rise by 39%, over one year, to 5.5 billion euros, with a growth of 43% for life and protection insurance and an increase of 7% for damage insurance. Life insurance assets under management reached 96.6 billion euros at the end of March 2024. Since the end of December 2023, they have increased by 5%. Total collection came to 4.6 billion euros in this first quarter.

Units of account represent 35% of what was outstanding at the end of March 2024, up 6 percentage points vs. the end of December 2023 and 57% of the total collection for the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 15 percentage points against 2024. the end of December 2023.

In property and casualty insurance, the equipment level of both networks reached 34.4% at the end of March 2024, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the end of December 2023.

Net banking income increased by 5% year on year in the first quarter of 2024 and stood at 188 million euros.

Management fees fell 3% year on year this quarter, to 42 million euros.

Total operating income, with a positive jaw effect, stood at 146 million euros for this quarter, an increase of 7%.

Pre-tax profit reached 149 million euros this quarter, up 7% year-on-year.

Basic pre-tax income stood at 149 million euros for the quarter, up 6% year-on-year.
