Boys (17 and 12) set dogs on cats: Buddy almost died

Getting children and young people used to contact with animals at an early age is actually a good thing. This not only teaches them how to treat other living beings with respect, but also how to take on responsibility. This upbringing obviously didn’t work out for two teenagers from Pennsylvania. When they went for a walk, they set their dogs on a cat.

A few days ago, terrible scenes took place in the Frankford district of the metropolis of Pennsylvania. The black tomcat Buddy was literally mauled in front of a residential building. Two teenagers rushed their dogs to the helpless velvet paw. A surveillance camera filmed the tragic moments. The footage shows the 17- and 12-year-olds even cheering for their dogs, reports “6abc“.

Passers-by became aware of the aggressive attack and intervened. The youngsters then quickly disappeared with their dogs, while tomcat Buddy remained lying on the ground covered in blood. The employees of the animal welfare organization “PSPCA” took the injured velvet paw off the street and immediately took him to their clinic. It was immediately clear to them that the tomcat was in mortal danger.

At the clinic, they tended to numerous wounds and found that Buddy had sustained serious internal injuries from the dog bites. In a complex operation, they tried to stabilize him.

The velvet paw was then connected to a number of devices and monitored around the clock. After a few days, his condition has finally stabilized and the spirits are slowly returning to the cat’s body.

Buddy can already carefully eat again and stand up on his own. But it will be a while before he fully recovers from the cowardly attack. The youths turned themselves in to the police. You now face severe penalties for violating the Animal Welfare Act, which is particularly strict in Pennsylvania.
