As of today, the Sofia Directorate of the Interior has a new head. This was announced at a briefing in Plovdiv by the acting Minister of Force Boyko Rashkov.
“We work on personnel issues every day. I can tell you that as of today, the Sofia Directorate of the Interior has a new head. I cannot accept that we can remain indifferent to a leader who has watched calmly as young people protesting in the center of Sofia, and under the windows of the Council of Ministers. We need to eradicate this. I hope that the style of work of these employees needs to change. The law clearly states what the powers are. But it does not say that children should be beaten. As long as I am a minister, I will be uncompromising. As of today, there are downgraded directors of regional directorates in the country as well, “Rashkov added.
Boyko Rashkov: There will be more changes of leaders
Regarding the heads of the security services, who are on unpaid leave, Rashkov pointed out that, in his opinion, it is not right for the heads of important departments in the country to take a break.
