“The goal is me!” This was stated by the former Prime Minister and leader of GERB Boyko Borisov on the occasion of the interrogation of former prosecutors and investigators this morning at the Ministry of Interior. Among those summoned to testify is former Sofia City Prosecutor Nikolay Kokinov. According to the information leaked so far, the interrogations are in connection with a case from 12-13 years ago.

Earlier this month, caretaker Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov said he had received information against Boyko Borissov, who put pressure on an investigator to save his minister from going to prison. According to him, the case dates back to 2009. Rashkov added that he had a meeting with an anonymous witness. He claims that Borisov threatened him with the words: “You have a wife and children who won’t know if they’re eating your meat.”

Tomislav Donchev once again described the actions of the caretaker government as a pre-election event. That is why GERB will file a complaint to the Central Election Commission against the government.

“My big appeal is – let the political parties fight, the caretaker government is behaving like in cycling at the moment – everyone is going to beat the favorite so that someone from the second line can overtake him. They are behaving like a coalition party, that is the goal“, added Borissov.
In response to a question, the GERB leader confirmed that his proposal for prime minister remains the same as in the 45th parliament – Daniel Mitov.
GERB accused the caretaker government of failing to present a recovery plan, of a total failure of the COVID-19 vaccination, and of transforming some of the anti-crisis economic measures from grants into loans, not to mention the “green deal” “, for the Marits.
