We will support the government until tomorrow when I meet with the party assets. We will discuss all the pros and cons and look for a way to distinguish very clearly what we support from what we are against. This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov to journalists at the training ground in Novo Selo, where he is observing NATO exercises.
The former prime minister added that at the moment “the government has it because of the geopolitical situation in the world”.
Boyko Borisov also made a comment on the subject of the derogation for Lukoil.
It turned out that while we were in power, half of the oil in our country was Russian – as it is right, and at the same time – during sanctions, during war, while beating their chests for their anti-Putin sentiments, the processing of the Russian oil has reached 100% and huge profits have been realized. Real levs were taken from the pockets of Bulgarians. My expectations were already 1.5 years ago that the theft from Bulgarians’ pockets of fuel would be stopped. We are told all the time how this was not the case. Whoever is guilty should be held accountable, urged Borisov.
According to him, attempts are being made to drop this derogation with “huge efforts” by the parties.
This is where Borisov surprisingly appeared, the US ambassador keeps him company
“It is ridiculous that the government should fall because someone outside of Bulgaria, I accept Denkov’s words that here, in our country, no one has benefited from this derogation,” he pointed out.
The chairman of GERB noted that the first F-16 fighters will arrive next year and recalled that the modernization of the army is a contribution of the parties in the parliament, led by DPS and GERB.
Let’s be honest – if we hadn’t supported them in Sofia, they wouldn’t have a mayor. In Varna we made a mistake. They lost the election. They are actually a fourth political force. It is ridiculous to say with 33-34 deputies that the government will fall if foreign interests are protected, commented Borisov.
