Bidjaipersad A. (37) has confessed to the police that he murdered his girlfriend, Ashna Jagesar (31), and dumped her body in a gutter along Agememnonweg in the Eureka project.
At first, the friend denied having anything to do with the missing girlfriend in Suriname and the discovery of her lifeless body. After being put to the test, he admitted the murder and the dumping of the body.
According to witnesses, the friend picked her up from work and she was not seen since. Ashna’s body is on Saturday night found in a gutter in the Agememnonweg.
Bidjaipersad A. is at his home address on Sunday morning tracked down and arrested. After coordination with the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service, he was immediately detained.
The body was confiscated for autopsy to find out the exact cause of death. The Capital Offenses Department is investigating the case.
