New Delhi: Union Minister Anurag Thakur says that calls for boycott are destroying the good atmosphere. Anurag Thakur’s words came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that BJP leaders should not make unnecessary comments about films. Pathan, which has received many boycott calls, is doing well at the box office.
“It’s a time when our films are creating huge waves across the world. Calls for boycott at that time will spoil the good atmosphere. It is also dangerous for people to comment without knowing the full facts,’ Anurag Thakur told ANI.
Pathan has collected more than Shahrukh’s Zero in just two days. 193 crores was collected in zero theatres. But Pathan’s 1st day collection globally is over 100 crores. This is the highest collection for a film in the history of Bollywood. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweets that the film collected 235 crores globally on the second day.
Pathan collected 32 crores on its second day from PVR, Inox and Cineplus alone. The film received a huge response in South India as well. 4 Crores from Tamil Nadu on the first day. Forum Keralam, a movie tracker, has tweeted that the film has grossed 1.91 crores on its first day in Kerala. Some trade analysts are tweeting that the Hindi version alone has collected more than 52 crores.
