Boy Yandra: 205 Toddlers in Bangka Exposed to COVID-19

jpnn.com, BANGKA – A total of 205 toddlers or children under five years old in Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, were exposed to the corona virus due to close contact with patients.

Task Force Spokesperson COVID-19 Bangka Boy Yandra Regency in Sungailiat, Sunday said, a total of 205 toddlers who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 included the addition of four toddlers who were tested positive today.

“Toddlers who are known to be positive are generally in close contact with their parents or family members who first tested positive for COVID-19,” he explained.

He said, in addition to hundreds of toddlers who were known to be positive for COVID-19 as a result of tracing, tracking and testing, there were 21 babies under the age of four who were exposed, there was one positive toddler aged 1.5 years from Sungailiat District who died.

“Toddlers and babies who are positive for COVID-19 immediately receive intensive health care from the medical team, and until now there are still a number of toddlers who are undergoing health recovery,” he explained.

Boy Yandra reminded the whole community, especially families with toddlers or babies, to be really disciplined in implementing health protocols because the spread of COVID-19 cases was evenly distributed at all ages.

“The discipline of implementing health procedures is the right step to prevent the spread of the corona virus considering that the cases have reached all age levels,” he said. (between/jpnn)
