Boy throws fireworks at horse, animal dies | Inland

Two amazons went out with their horses for “a quiet walk.” During a ride through the village, fireworks were thrown over the fence from a garden on the street. The women asked to stop this because of the horses, but a ground toll landed right in front of the horses. The animals were so shocked that they suddenly turned around and wanted to leave. The 13-year-old gelding fell.

“The fallen horse no longer dared to put stress on one of its legs and did not want to take another step,” writes the owner of boarding stable De Paardenstek on Facebook. The horse was returned to the stable with a trailer. A vet diagnosed an internal injury to the left hind leg. After a few days of using heavy painkillers there was no improvement. New studies were done and the results turned out to be shocking. “The many torn ligaments and multiple bone splinters around the joint would mean permanent pain and lameness to the horse, leaving only one option, to put the horse out of its misery and euthanize it.”

The boy who had thrown the fireworks turned out to be very shocked by the consequences of his action. “The boy never realized that this would be the result of his act and most likely never will. It won’t make the horse come back, but hopefully this message will encourage all parents to remind their children once again about the dangers of fireworks. Hopefully this will save humans and animals a lot of suffering in the future. ”
