Boy Reunited with Family After Found Wandering Alone in NYC – NBC New York

NEW YORK – A 2-year-old boy found wandering alone on a Bronx street corner on Monday has been reunited with his family, authorities said Tuesday.

Police responding to a 911 call around 9 p.m. found the toddler on the corner of Randall and Olmstead avenues in the Castle Hill neighborhood. He was alone.

A 29-year-old witness made the report after finding the boy alone, authorities say.

According to the New York police, the boy was not speaking but appeared to be in good health. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation of him.

After the call for help from the police, the minor was reunited with his family on Tuesday morning.

The door was accidentally left open and the child went out during the night; the mother reported the baby missing around 6:45 pm, according to the report.

Police said no criminality was found after the incident. There was also no additional police presence at the Castle Hill Houses complex.
