NEW YORK – A boy was reportedly fatally struck by a Brooklyn driver who fled the scene early Wednesday morning, law enforcement sources told our sister network News 4.
The exact age of the child was unclear; the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, near the streets South Fifth Y Hooper after the accident on Wednesday at about 8:35 am, sources said.
The New York City Police Collision Investigation Squad is searching for the alleged driver who ran over the minor. No description of the vehicle was immediately available, nor were there any other details about the boy.
Apparently the minor was found by an MTA driver who was leaving the parking lot.
This is a story in development.
