Agents were notified at around 3:30 PM that a child had been spotted in the puddle. When the emergency services arrived in a trauma helicopter, the child had already been taken out of the water and resuscitated by bystanders.
The boy was taken to hospital straight away, but it was already too late. “Despite all life-saving actions, he died in the hospital,” reports the police. How the boy got into the water is being investigated. The child’s family has been informed, said a spokeswoman. It is not clear whether the boy’s parents were around. There is a playground near the water.
