The fifteen-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a stabbing in Drachten on 22 December died in the night from Sunday to Monday. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) confirms this to NU.nl.
Shortly after the stabbing, two teenagers, a fifteen year old boy from Gorredijk and a fourteen year old boy from Drachten, were arrested for involvement. They are still stuck.
Why the victim was stabbed is still unclear. The police are still investigating this.
During the handling of the incident, unrest arose, in which an agent was injured. Two adult suspects have been arrested for this, the OM reports.
