Boy (14) falls from attraction in Florida amusement park and dies | Abroad

The local authorities report this to American media. The teen was in the “Orlando FreeFall.” An attraction of 131 meters high, making it the highest free fall in the world.

According to the description of the attraction on the website, this free-fall tower can carry a maximum of thirty people per ride. “Once the vehicle reaches the top, it tilts forward thirty degrees and faces the ground before falling 131 meters down at a speed of more than 120 kilometers per hour.”

‘Parents have seen everything’

The local news channel FOX 35 News spoke to people who saw the boy fall from the ride. They stated, among other things, that the parents saw everything happening from below and that they were very panicked.

“At first we thought it was part of the ride that came off, until we got closer and it was a person lying on the ground,” said an eyewitness. “Everyone was panicking and screaming.”

It is currently unknown how the accident could have happened. Police are currently investigating. The attraction will remain closed for the time being.
