Sergey Kovalev could be in hot water after broadcasting Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Callum Smith’s fight through his Instagram account.

According to Mike Coppinger of The Athletic, DAZN, who featured the fight, could potentially sue the boxer. Coppinger reports that DAZN would be evaluating all of its options at this time.

During the Alvarez-Smith fight, Kovalev joined a spike of 2,500 followers who followed the duel through his Instagram account. Since DAZN owned the broadcast rights to the event, this practice is considered illegal.
