One of the boxing evenings in the USA ended with a real scandal, where Kenneth Jamerson and Jason Santana met in the ring – both boxers compete in lightweight. With the help of a vile, but formally permitted technique, Jason Santana sent his opponent to a technical knockout at the beginning of the fight – the fans were disappointed with what they saw.
After the signal was sounded, which meant the start of the fight, both boxers went to the center of the ring for a greeting. And when Kenneth Jamerson gave his opponent a handshake, the opponent took advantage of the favorable moment to attack and delivered 2 accurate blows to the opponent’s jaw.
Jamerson did not expect such a move from Santana and did not have time to cover himself from the blow, so he found himself in a knockout, from which he did not come out. The fight ended in the 1st round with the victory of Jason Santana.
Formally, such a boxer’s behavior in the ring did not contradict the rules, so the judge had no complaints against him. But the fact that it’s not customary to do this for the sake of your victory in the ring is for sure, and fans of such behavior will not forgive the 24-year-old Santana for a long time.
