Eleider Alvarez and Joe Smith Jr. easily hit the 175-pound limit on the eve of their WBO light heavyweight playoff fight to be played on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Alvarez (25-1, 13 KOs) posted a weight of 174.6 pounds, while Smith (25-3, 20 KOs) rocked the scale to 174.9 pounds .
The winner of the duel will then face the other winner of a knockout fight between Umar Salamov and Maxim Vlasov with the title left vacant by Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at stake.
This is the first outing for Alvarez since knocking out Michael Seals in the seventh round last January in Verona, New York.
