Beaten on points and unanimously by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk On Saturday, the now ex-British heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has already said he wants “At 110%” a revenge.
Joshua has a clause for a second fight against Usyk in order to try to recover his belts, as he had done in December 2019, after the first loss of his professional career, against Andy Ruiz Jr in June 2019.
Dispossessed of his WBA, WBO and IBF titles on the occasion of the second defeat of his career, Joshua said at a press conference after the fight to be “ready to return to training” for a revenge he wants to play ” at 110% ”.
A revenge in February or next March?
“I’m not the type to be the head, it’s a golden opportunity to be able to fight for the title of world heavyweight champion”, continued Joshua, already turned to the next fight.
“Right away, I watched the fight to find out what I could have done better”, said the 31-year-old boxer.
Oleksandr Usyk, for his part, has just spent three months of preparation away from his family and has won most of his victories outside his country. “I would love a rematch at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev”, he was enthusiastic.
