DAccording to promoter Eddie Hearn, the boxer Andrew Ruiz asked for more money to fight Derek Chisora, who fell to Joseph Parker last December in one of the most interesting heavyweight bouts of the past year.
The British boxer himself has spoken on social networks about a possible confrontation with the Mexican-American and Eddie Hearn will want the fight to take place in the UK.
“I want Chisora to fight Andy Ruiz Jr. I made an offer to PBC for that fight on Friday. They want more money, understood, but I want Chisora to fight Ruiz, that’s a great fight.”
It should be noted that Andy Ruiz has been involved in the controversy after he Canelo Álvarez revealed that the former heavyweight champion has not gone to train with Eddy Reynoso. Since 2019, the boxer has only fought once and he did it against Chris Arreola whom he defeated by unanimous decision.
