Boxer tears off part of the ear of a night watchman in Chorrillos

The assaulted man lost a third of his ear while on patrol in Chorrillos.

A policeman from Chorrillos was attacked by a boxer while on his routine patrol. According to the victim, the attacker pounced on him and bit his ear, tearing off a fragment of it. The event occurred on the shore of La Herradura in the early morning hours.

The victim has been identified as Rolando Segovia Bernales, 33 years old. He patrolled with his partner as usual; However, a strange object approached them out of nowhere.

According to the Peruvian National Police (PNP), the boxer asked the night watchman to help him recover some of the items that had fallen into the sea; however, due to the refusal of the night watchman, a brawl broke out.

The name of the alleged boxer is Anthony Zea Verde, who was apparently intoxicated at the time of requesting the support of the night watchman.

Regarding the aggression, it was revealed that the attacker was with other colleagues and they attacked the night watchmen, Zea being the one who bit his ear. However, some bystanders intervened to separate the victim from the perpetrator.

As soon as they arrived in the area, the police officers arrested the attacker, who was transferred to the Chorrillos Police Station to testify and investigate the case.

According to the father of the night watchman, an urgent operation is required for the recovery of his son. Said medical procedure will cost 30,000 soles. In addition, some serenaded justice so that the other person would not go through the same thing again.

“It has been a deep bite. He has stitches now and they are giving him 20 days of medical leave. It is not known if it will be more and he is worried about his work. We are going to see if they are going to take it out or not and I want everyone’s support ”, stated Carmen del Rosario, partner of the attacked watchman.

In addition, the young woman indicated that at the police station they had told her that the attack was not a crime.
