Bowling Sree for Kerala; ‘Youth’ for Punjab | Yuvraj Singh S. Sreesanth

New Delhi / Thiruvananthapuram: S Sreesanth and Yuvraj Singh are set to return to domestic cricket after a seven – year ban. In the Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the national senior Twenty20 tournament, Sree was included in the Kerala potential team and Yuvraj in the Punjab potential team. It is certain that both will be included in the final teams. Sreesanth and Yuvraj have played together in India’s two World Cup achievements. Suresh Raina, who retired after Dhoni in August, has announced that he will play in the tournament for Uttar Pradesh.

Sreesanth was acquitted in a match – fixing case, but his seven – year BCCI ban ended two months ago. Sreesanth (37) last played in the 2013 IPL. Sreesanth’s return as an experienced pacer is expected to help Sandeep Warrier, one of the Kerala pacers, go to Tamil Nadu. Yuvraj, 39, who announced his retirement from international cricket last June, will play at the request of the Punjab Cricket Association.

The Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which marks the start of the country’s domestic cricket season after Kovid, will begin on January 10. Thiruvananthapuram is also being considered as the venue.
