Bourita attends the ministerial meeting of the AU Peace and Security Council

LThe Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, attended the Ministerial meeting of the African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council (PSC) held in New York on Friday. on the sidelines of the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations.

Nasser Bourita was accompanied to this meeting by the Ambassador General Director of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mohamed Methqal.

Morocco will take over the presidency of the SGP in October. Morocco remains there for a second term of three years 2022-2025 after that of 2018-2020.

This body is a key body of the Union as it has the power to exclude member countries from the organization. Last October, the PSC decided to suspend Sudan to condemn the takeover of the country’s armed forces.
