In May, Keven Dhème, 40, a firefighter from Boulogne, flew to Lisbon, Portugal, to represent France at the World Firefighters Games where 40 countries sent their athletes. Keven took part in boxing matches in the under 81 kg category.

The boxer from Boulogne won his fights until the final against a solid Turkish man whom he dispatched by KO in the second round. His performances are no coincidence since Keven prepared the event for two months with Cédric Feutry, his trainer from the local MMA club, Pancrace academy. He also followed a specific training at the INSEP (National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance) in Paris with the gratin of the discipline. His gold medal rewards his efforts and his investigation.
A game, a child
As part of his participation in the association “A game, a child”, Keven was accompanied by Juanito Decloitre, a young hopeful from Boulogne from the working-class district of Chemin Vert. The promising young boxer, licensed at the Boulogne MMA club, had a sensational experience alongside Keven and Cédric, their trainer. This sporting trip has boosted him since he has just beaten the Belgian champion in his category (under 57 kg) on points. As for Keven, he must participate at the end of July in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, in a world gathering of firefighters and police in English boxing to glean a new gold medal. All the best.
