Boulder County Invests $14.2 Million in New Services Hub
Boulder County, Colorado, is substantially upgrading its resident services infrastructure with a substantial investment. The county recently acquired a new building at 2525 28th Street in Boulder for $14.2 million,marking a key step in enhancing accessibility and efficiency for community members.
This strategic purchase will centralize various crucial services currently dispersed across different locations. The plan is to consolidate services like mental health support and job assistance under one roof, creating a more convenient and streamlined experience for residents. The current location of these services, the North Broadway complex at 1333 Iris avenue, will be repurposed once the transition is complete.
The move is anticipated to take over a year, allowing for extensive renovations and energy efficiency upgrades to the new facility. The county aims to create a modern, energy-efficient, and safe environment for both staff and the public. according to a county press release, the new building is expected to offer improved accessibility for residents.
Beyond this central hub, Boulder County continues to serve its community through existing facilities such as the St. Vrain Community Hub in Longmont and the Southeast Community Hub in Lafayette.
