One lottery player in the US was particularly lucky. He hit the jackpot and is now mega rich.
$1.34 billion! The lucky guy could have won that much money.

It is not known who won. The lottery company announced that the winning ticket was purchased in the state of Illinois. The person is said to have spent only two dollars on it.
And now?
The jackpot of more than one billion euros was the third largest in US history. However, it is still unclear whether it will be paid out in full.
The winner has two choices:
- The money is transferred in installments over 29 years – then you get the full profit.
- A one-time payment in cash. But then more taxes have to be paid and in the end the winner “only” has the equivalent of 730 million dollars.
Most lottery winners choose the second option.
