Botafogo’s Fiscal Council issues a favorable opinion on the sale of SAF to John Textor

Botafogo’s Supervisory Board sent the board members a favorable opinion on the sale of the club’s SAF to Eagle Holdings, owned by American John Textor, on Thursday morning. The information is from the “GE”.

This group was one of the few that had access to the full text of the binding proposal made by Textor, at the table of the Deliberative Council and those involved in the negotiations. They signed confidentiality terms.

The Chairman of the Audit Committee, André Souza, and the members of the Board of Directors Ednaldo Fernandes Júnior, Eduardo Dias Corrêa, Gustavo Damázio de Noronha, José Antônio de Franco, Luís Fernando Lôpo de Souza Santos, Marcos André Cavalcanti Ruffier, Paulo Cesar dos Santos, Paulo Roberto Barral and Victor Octavio Seith Zambrana.

The sale of 90% of the Botafogo SAF to John Textor for around R$ 400 million will be voted on this Thursday night by the Deliberative Council. If approved, it goes to the appreciation of the members in the General Assembly the following day. With everything OK, next week there will be an investment of R$ 50 million, and a period of 60 days has been established to complete the sale.
