O Botafogo receives the Bahia this Sunday with tickets sold out since Wednesday. In the match against Coritiba, Glorioso managed to place fans in the South sector, which was shared with the visitors. However, for the match against Tricolor Baiano, the club did not obtain the authorizations.
General vice-president of Botafogo, Vinicius Assumption protested against the ban and used Maracanã as an example last Thursday, when Olimpica fans stayed in a space very close to Fluminense fans, in a game valid for Libertadores.
“I swear I can’t understand. Olimpia fans surrounded by tricolors at Maracanã and Nilton Santos the same government bodies do not release part of the southern sector. There will again be 3,000 people from Botafogo who will be prevented from watching their favorite team. Unjustifiable!“, wrote the leader in X.
In the match against Coritiba, 2,300 tickets were made available to Botafogo fans in the South sector, while 1,200 tickets were available to Coxa (only 136 were sold). Then, in the matches against Guaraní-PAR, Internacional and Defensa y Justicia, the sector was all for the visitors.
