Dono da SAF do BotafogoJohn Textor didn’t just deal with club business in the meeting he had with the mayor Edward Paes, last Saturday. According to the column “Panorama Esportivo”, of the newspaper “O Globo”, the businessman also made a request about the Libra.
Textor told the mayor of Rio his wish for the headquarters of the new Brazilian Football League – of which the Botafogo is associated – whether in the Marvelous City. The American asked for some help, through tax breaks or session in some area.
At the meeting held over the weekend, which was scheduled by President Durcesio Mello, Eduardo Paes made it clear that he wants the Botafogo working at the Nilton Santos Stadium until the end of the current contract, in 2051. For this, there are even chances that the club can do works to bring the fans closer to the field, even removing the athletics track, as Textor wants.
