investor of Botafogo, John Textor was accused of “arrogance” by the journalist Paulo Vinicius Coelhoin his blog, for having said off-line to Rodrigo Capelo who “has more money than Barcelona” to sign Cavani, in a comment about the moment and, possibly, in a more informal tone. The American businessman used Twitter to defend himself on Tuesday night.
Textor denied arrogance and invited PVC for a conversation or interview.
– Arrogance?… Wrong guy. Failure has been my greatest teacher, and humility my clearest lens. PVC, you’re welcome to sit with me anytime, as I hope we have common views on many things… Unless you’re having too much fun with your headlines. Interview? asked Textor.
PVC also responded via Twitter.
– Thanks for message. I would be happy to sit with you. I didn’t say you’re arrogant. I wrote arrogance is a risk. Barcelona is not a symbol at the moment. Cavani can be a big name. But Kalou e Honda also. Botafogo doesn’t need an impact. It needs to be rebuilt,” wrote PVC.
