O Botafogo officially announced earlier this Thursday night the hiring of the steering wheel Patrick de Paula, 22 years old. The player was in palm trees and signed a contract with Glorioso valid until the end of 2026.
Patrick de Paula became the most expensive signing in Alvinegro’s history. To remove the steering wheel from the São Paulo club, Fogão will pay € 6 million (BRL 31.8 million) for 50% of the economic rights and will have the option to buy another 20% by the middle of next year for € 3.5 million (BRL 18.6 million).

Midfielder Patrick de Paula is a Botafogo player and returns to Rio de Janeiro for a new story with the most traditional shirt in Brazilian football. The player passed the medical exams and signed a contract until the end of 2026. De Paula will be officially presented at a press conference in person this Friday (24/03), at 12:40, at Estádio Nilton Santos.
Born in Santa Margarida, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick returns to Rio de Janeiro to continue writing a beautiful story of overcoming, talent and glories in football. The player who stood out in the 2017 edition of the Taça das Favelas was captured by Palmeiras, the club for which he won in the youth categories the Copa RS Sub-20 (2018), the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 (2018-2019), the Campeonato Paulista Brazilian U-20 (2018) and the Copa do Brasil U-20 (2019).
Promoted to professionals, Patrick followed the path of achievements and became champion of the Paulista Championship (2020), the Copa do Brasil (2020), the Copa Libertadores (2020-2021) and the Recopa Sul-Americana (2022).
