The Red Sox continue to rule in the majors
Who stops Boston?
Kiké Hernández homered in his first at-bat for the third time in five days, Nathan Eovaldi pitched seven scoreless innings and the Red Sox crushed the Kansas City Royals 15-1.
Danny Santana and Rafael Devers blew the wall and drove in five runs apiece. JD Martinez also homered, kicking off a five-run fourth inning with a 17 home run.
The Red Sox hit four home runs for the third time in five games and completed the sweep in four games against the Royals, who lost their ninth straight game.
YUSEI KIKUCHI allowed one run in seven innings, Jake Fraley and Shed Long Jr. each hit home runs off Hyun Jin Ryu, and the Settle Mariners beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-2. Kikuchi (6-3) struck out six and allowed five hits to win his third straight start. He went 5-0 in his last seven starts. After a home run that Marcus Semien opened the game with, the Japanese left-hander did not allow another of the Blue Jays to get into second until Teoscar Hernández started the seventh inning with a double.
JOEY GALLO blew the wall for the fifth straight game, Nate Lowe added two home runs and the Texas Rangers beat the Oakland Athletics 8-3. Gallo went 3-3 with a walk. His five-game home run streak is the longest in the majors this season.
ZACK COLLINS broke the tie in the sixth with a homer and the White Sox scored at least seven runs for the fourth day in a row to beat the Minnesota Twins 8-5 and sweep them in the series.
