Boston Red Sox will try again to sign Teoscar Hernández

The Boston Red Sox want to strengthen their outfield for the 2025 Major League season and outfielder Teoscar Hernández enters that plan, according to renowned journalist Jon Morosi, from MLB Network.

Hernández, 32 years old, has just won the World Series with the Dodgers and was one of the club’s best hires, after signing for just one season and being key in the Californian team’s victory over the New York Yankees.

Hernandez had an All-Star campaign, hitting a career-high 33 home runs along with 99 RBIs. His OPS+ of 137 was the second-highest mark of his career.

The Red Sox need a right-handed power hitter now that Tyler O’Neill is set to become a free agent and talks with the veteran are not going well, so he is expected to move on to another organization.

The Baltimore Orioles may also enter the race for free agent Hernández, since Anthony Santander, their big figure in 2024, became a free agent.

Hernández has hit 192 home runs in nine MLB seasons, has a good defense and also adds intensity and joy to his game. He is known for being a good teammate and that is what the Red Sox need.
