Boston offers a contract to its goalkeeper in the middle of the game

The Boston Bruins offered goaltender Dan Vladar a contract extension on Sunday in the middle of a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Czech, who acts as an assistant to Jaroslav Halak, is now linked with the Massachusetts squad for three more years, until the end of the 2022-2023 season. He will earn an average of $ 750,000 per season. The agreement is two-fold for the first two years of the contract, and one for the last.

At 23, Vladar has yet to play in the National Hockey League (NHL). He kept the net for the Providence Bruins in the AHL 25 times last season. He was 14-7-1 with a 1.79 goals-against average and .936 save percentage, two league-highs.

Vladar was drafted by Boston in the third round (75e in total) at the 2015 auction.
