Boston Dynamics Atlas robots dominate Parkour and it's disturbing

The evolution of humanoid robots has been done impressively by Boston Dynamics and over the past few years we have seen impressive feats for a machine. And how far can this evolution go?

This was not the first time that Boston Dynamics, a Hyundai group company, has put its humanoid robots jumping obstacles. Parkour seems to be an activity "enjoyed" by the Atlas.

However, evolution has been taking place and it is increasingly disturbing to see the synchronized movement of these machines and the way their movements are confused with the movements of any of us.

The video of two robots jumping platforms, boxes and beams was shared by the company today and can be seen below.

Though it sounds like a joke, Boston Dynamics aims to make robots capable of handling a wide variety of tasks with human dexterity. Waiting for us humans to stick by our side.

Who is (what is) the Atlas?

Atlas it is the most dynamic humanoid robot out there. Atlas' advanced control system and its state-of-the-art hardware give the robot the strength and balance to demonstrate human-level agility.

It's actually a Boston Dynamics research platform designed to push even the limits of whole-body mobility.
